Car turns over in ON position???

In our automotive class today, we had a 2000 Caddy that when you turned the ignition to the "ON" position, it would try and start the car. Anyone else ever have this happen??

its either something wrong with the wire goin from the starter to the soilonoid, or the soilonoid...i would think anyway

we diagnosed it and came up with a bad ECM. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen to them before?

I saw that happen once because of a crappy alarm install.
