Trailer Questions

has anyone towed a trailer with a bag on bar setup?

I want to put a hitch on my truck so i can tow a one car trailer but im not shure how the bag on bar is going to work so I was thinking of putting the bags back over axle but then I loose all my lift.

I did w/ my burb. Jus thave to make sure the bar is strong enough.

How big of bar? How big of bags? Where are they placed?

i have 2x2 1/4 wall box tubing for my link bars that should be strong enough to haul a 18ft trailer

my lower links are 2x2 by 1/4 wall with re-8 bags that are fairly close to the axle

im running 2x2 1/4 wall with re8s



not had any problems at all towing my trailer



had the same setup on my old xcab 1/2ton and never had any troubles with it either... pulled a uhaul trailer with a 65 truck on it all the way back from wyoming in the freezingass dead of winter with it once too.

yeah i have my bags on bars close to axle and i am running re8's also...

yea i have my bags on my bars and have towed a car hauler with a heavy ass 1949 merk. on it and it did just fine.
