Just wondering what's involved? New Hood/Grille/Lights I can see.. but what else is involved? Any details explaining what else exactly is needed, or info. the process would be awesome. Thanks

add fenders (any 4x4 fender will work but the 01-04 have 2 holes in them where the headlight bolts to the fender so pre 01 will work but will have to be drilled)..also a coresupport and bumper(if you want the curvature of the front end to match since the old taco is a lil flatter than the newer ones.

Do all of the 01+ fenders have the flare holes?

- 4x4 Fenders
- Hood
- Grille
- Bumper
- Lights
- Core Support

How much cutting/welding is required? Thanks a lot Tony

u need to strip your entire front end completely of of your truck. drill out the spot welds on core support to the aprons and cut lower welds holding core support on. also unbolt the bolts holding it to the frame. line up your new core support and weld in place. you can however do this swap with your existing core support by doing a little hacking to the support where the head lights go and cutting a little on the head light mounting plastic. also possible shims needed to make everything line up corrrectly.
after doing it that way the 1ST time i stripped the front end again and cut out the old support and welded in the 01 support. i just wasnt happy with what i had done to make it work so i did it the right way the 2ND time. also take my advice and buy factory parts rather than aftermarket. aftermarket parts will work but its the little gaps and the way things line up that will make a guy with ocd go crazy. hope this helps.
