For those that have bagged their F150's (older body style, pre-2004), can you post pictures of your front shock setups?

Im running the new RE6 Slams with KP cups, but I still want to run shocks.

Thanks in advance.

one of these days I am going to finish my truck and I will have pictures
Til' then, sorry I got nothing!

I couldn't find a way to mount them on the rear of the control arm without loosing some turning radius. I did find a way up front but then I have to keep the sway bar off, unless I relocate that to the rear of the arm!

Heck, no wonder no one uses front shocks on the 150's! quitters

well I am going from memoryI did the infamous "spindle flip" so it may not work if you have stock or dropped spindles

Basically I just ran a tube off of the front of the control arm I think about 3" long and mounted the shock there. There was enough travel that the tie rod didn't come close to the shock mount and the tire would just clear the shock at full lock.It was a lot of trial and error getting it to where it wouldn't hit at any height, lock to lock

If you have the room, I think the easiest way would be to run a "strut brace" or engine cradle and mount them off of the upper control arm or above the upper arm with a rod coming off to the lower arm.For example, LADAVE's setup on a 71' FordIt's a tight fit.Let me know what you come up with

on a friends truck running the same bag and cups i just cut off the bumpstop mount on the side of the spring perch and mounted the shock there inside the control arms next to the bag did not lose any lift or turning radius and i used 1984 chevy pick up front shocks because they are short

oh I forgot to mention I am using RS7
I should have read more carefully!

With RS6 I have seen inside the control arm.

much easier

Can you give me your emails, and i can send you a few pictures you can paintshop over to better explain your ideas?

I have already purchased the front shock relocator kit from Suicide Doors, with what looks to be an S10 upper mount.

Thanks guys

air ride technoligies has a bracket they sell for eyelet 2 eylet shox that mounts on ur rear upper control arm mount,, the bottom mount is just a large bolt setup 2 mount 2 the c arm and hold the shock just be careful if u have 20 inch wheels where u mount the lower bolt.. they will scratch them if they are mounted close 2 the ball joint
they work good .
