independent rear suspension question

ok...so my ranger has a rear frame clip with an irs out of a 89 thunder bird super coupe....The problem i'v ran across is that the bolt pattern on the rear irs is 4 1/4 by 5 and the front is 4 1/2 by 5.....both sets of wheels i own are 4 1/2 by 5.....is there away to make the rear bolt pattern a 4 1/2 by 5 bolt pattern.....

Make a few more threads about it. That hould solve your problem.





My suggestion would be to have your rear bolt pattern changed. Any good machine shop should be able to redrill your hubs.

Hey Travis, when you post in any forum other than Miscellaneous forums it puts a link to it on the SSM home page so since you posted in a few forums hoping more people would see it and your question would get answered quicker you now have everyone calling you a jackass rather than paying attention to your question. But just about everyone has done exactly what you did and figured it out the hard way.

Frank at Mother Goose Customs is very good at changing bolt paterns, look him up at www.mothergoostcustoms.com he should be able to help you out. Hope this helps.

What is the 4th comandment?

I think the 4th is "Thow Shall not Judge thy Neighbor" lol not sure tho. ooo and as it goes for the bolt pattern its not cheap but grab a phone book and look for a local machine shop theyre gonna be the best bet bro then u dont gotta worry about shipping and all that mumbo jumbo

I have the exact same rear in my mazda along with the frame we built for SSM Editor's mazda. I do 5lug conversions. I have done about 10 tbirds redrills so far. Price is $120 shipped for hubs/rotors redrilled and new studs installed. Give me a yell if I can be of assistance...John
