Can a bad starter drain your battery. I replaced the battery and the alternator. If I don't start my truck daily it won't start after sitting for two days. Any ideas?

Start checkin your wiring! If you pull the battery cable off and touch it to the battery post and it sparks you got a short somewhere or somethings on that shouldn't be. If it's a big spark then that could be whats wrong. You might check the starter relay. And check to make sure there's no lights or anything on at all. GLove box lights tag lights underhood lights etc! Good luck. But it sounds like a wiring problem to me.

I'm sure its not your problem but I have noticed on my 97 tahoe that if I lock my doors and let it sit for a few days, it barely starts up but if I don't lock it, it works good after the same period of time. But i would go with the other answer and say it will be wiring

i just did a search on parasitic drain and i found that vehicles equipped with an ECM can exhibit a failure mode within the ECM which can result in a high parasitic drain on the battery
