Any 97-03 v8 dakotas bodydropped with the stock hood? Has anyone sectioned their oilpan and lowered their motor? Need to replace my hood that's bent and the new one is not going to fit I'm pretty sure. I don't want to cut a hole in the hood. Any help is appreciated.

Anyone sectioned the intake manifold before or know of one shorter then factory?

the K&N intake gives you like 1/2 inch more clearance but other than that ther isnt any manifolds that are shorter than stock most are taller for more performance you could lower the motor down a good 1" to 1 1/2" before you should need to section the pan sorry i couldnt help out more

I already drag the drain plug so the pan would have to be sectioned before any lowering could happen.

I'm pretty sure with the 3.9 motors you only have 3.5 quarts of oil in the motor w/filter... so if you section the pan I suggest you do some sort of system to keep the little amount of oil circulating.

I have a 5.2 and I planned on relocating the oil filter to help some either way.
