I'm with either the yota or making your own tubular, the tubular really isn't that bad if your good at this kind of stuff and have some previous expierence.

But SD makes some nice stuff.

Started on the front of another one today. I hate every last minute of these trucks.

the sd.com brackets blow. the tire will contact the bag. ive been told the silverstar brackets or tubular ones are the way to go. and Ray, i have a tubing bender that i can bring to Dallas's when you are ready if you want to go the tubular route.

ive bagged an ibeam ranger before also, with sd parts, and the tire rubbed when turned lock to lock. i know a little of whats going on up there.

hes rebaggin it b/c whoever did it the first time sucked it up. BIGTIMEps. not me

Yeah i'm doing my second tubular style one now. The first was on 20s, this one is on 17s so it'll be a bit easier i hope, but the v6 and AC is eating away some space.
The next one I am doing is my buddies and he bought SD mounts like 3 yrs ago and hasnt used them. I will give them a shot since hes got the things already.

the trick to baggin the ibeams is gettin the upper bag mount the same height as the spring pocket and puttin the bag as close to the frame and away from the spindle as possible...

what i found with the sd.com brackets is that they angle the bag toward the rear of the truck. i tried cutting down the angle a little bit, but it still rubbed.

ill remember that trick on the next one i deal with james. if its a re-bag, any idea on about how high the factory spring cup is? dont know anyone around here with an ibeam ranger to measure

i was in a hurry and put my upper on to low...so im probly gonna have to cut them off and redo it soon..anyways i would just make them from tubing..i think it looks better and is still pretty damn easy..i took a peice of DOM and bent it at about 90 degs, cut it in half and welded it to a cup i bought from sd.com.. oh and it is a good idea to angle the top of the cup, in towards the engine alittle bit.

yea dont angle em in towards the motor actually yields less lift. the lower on the beam w/ the upper the same hiehgt as the spring perch, i get almost 11 in of lift w/ a slam bag.

I would recommend tubular brackets if you have access to a bender, or someone who does.

If you go that route, let me know. I have DIY ranger mount kit available for $45 (includes 2 upper circle plates, 2 lower plates, 4 lower gussets). You weld the lower mounts together yourself to get the angle you want, as every truck is gonna be different.

so dose this come with the tubeing for this kit??? or will he need to get it???
