what did you guys use to cover the air vent holes up before you glassed the dash?

you can use this plastic sheets from a hobby shop and just heat and bend them to shape, or basically anything thats bendable can be used to fill the vents

cant you just fill it in with great stuff or like expanding foam?? then glass over it

I glassed over one of my vents to put my gauges in. I used a piece of sheetmetal for the holes and glassed over it. I plugged the vent with the expanding foam you get at Lowe's. Works pretty good.
