Hey Guys, I've been looking around for a while for a V-8 project truck. I found the blazer and I think It'll will be a perfect candidate, since its 24 years old and smog exempt. Are these as easy as the S-10's to modify.Do all the aftermarket suspension parts fit? I'm guessing that the front is the same, but the rear won't accept the bolt in kits. Heard of any problems putting a 350/350 combo in these trucks and laying it?

yeah the front suspension is the same, from there back its all different.
Blazer frames are taller and have lots of funky bends to em.
If you are planning to BD I would build a new frame from the firewall back if you are able to.
350/350 combo?? Might want to double check that. haha

350/350 combo. A small block chevy with a TH-350 automatic transmision.

350/350 combo will be fine. if its a driver, look for numerically low rear end gears or go with a non-electronic 700-r4 o/d tranny. this will help you keep the revs down on the highway and the gas bill down as well.

overall, its been done, and it isnt hard. the s-10 v-8 kit should work (headers and all) out for you. Good luck bro!

ahh OK i thought u meant to type in a rim size or something. The engine/trans thing crossed my mind, but I couldnt think of what it would have to do with laying out..so no, that wont be an issue.

S10 V8 swap mounts will work fine for you, you'll have to get the 2.8 Frame mounts if it doesnt have a 2.8 now (i know there were some 2.5L blazers way back)
