i was just asking a friend of mine this question the other day and we werent sure if the olds bravada and gmc envoy(s10 blazer) were rack and pinion or not, but i havent had anytime to check into it. i think that your supposed to keep the outer tie rods of a rack and pinion parallel to the lower control arms. if im wrong correct me.

I checked and the blazers and bravadas dont have it, but if I could at least find out the basics of how to install one Im sure I can find one to fit, I was planning on using manual steering b/c it will be much cleaner.

check out manual racks for hot rods. make a couple measurements width wise and if you can mount it without getting into the motor or dragging it off. it'll be kinda a pain to get it adjusted correctly to the control arms so you wont get bumpsteer, but itd definately be worth it in the looks department.

Jon, you may be able to use a Tacoma rack on the H/B if you are still wanting power assist.

I used a Saturn manual unit on my S10. We built the race cars to have the rack parrell with the ground at ride height. The pics are of a Mazda 6 race car we built. Machined a spacer to go between the spindle a rack, used heims to connect them together. (sorry pics from phone so they suck!

I found a kit for the S10 at unisteer performance, it everything you would need to convert to manual rack for the low price of $1049
