F-150 steel hoods?

did the 97-03 F-150s ever have a steel hood?

I need one for what I plan on doing to the front of my Expo and mine is aluminium.

nah i think they all were alluminum if im not mistaken, just learn how to tig weld if you dont already and do it in aluminum

my factory hood was steel 4.2ltr
truck was a 99

if u need a steel one just buy a cheap aftermarket one off of ebay

yes!! ford changed to an aluminum hood in 01..... soo the older f150s did have a steel 1 which would probably be better if your looking to shave the squirters outta em

reflexxion sells a steel cowl hood

my factory hood was aluminum. i bought an aftermarket one and it was steel. its a lot heavier and the factory shocks dont hold it open. but most aftermarket ones should be steel.

mine is a 98 and it is aluminum.

aftermarket makes them in steel and aluminum like the o.e.m. ones just got to a place that sales aftermarket crash parts and tell them you want a steel one they should beable to fix youn up
