89' key cylinder

I'm swapping the electronics from my 93' into my 98'. The only real problem I'm running into right now is the key cylinder. On the 89', the electrical plug is different so I'm pulling everything out of the housing. I've got the electrical plug out of the back and the tumbler out of the front. There's something in the middle with a slot in it that will not come out. When you spin it, it kicks the little plastic thing underneath the housing out. I don't know what the plastic thing goes to and I don't know how to get the middle thing out of the housing! Anybody?! Thanks

Better yet, anybody have the blown up wiring diagram for the electrical plug to the ignition switch? For a 93'
