Ok, so I just got my Caddy sprayed with some 2K Range Rover green color, and was wondering how long I should wait before I get it cut/wetsanded/buffed? Two coats of paint, two of clear, I believe. Thanks!

i think its a week to be safe. i believe the majority of stuff now should cure within 48 hours, within a spray window of 24 hours. I would wait a week to be safe though.

this is true. whatever we used we waxed for the first time a good bit after we sprayed. it was a body shop class when i was in highschool, so who knows what a "shop" would do.

I give it 2 days(when possible) then sand then let it sit open a day then buff the next lets the solvents all get out.....

Just for reference. paint does not CURE in 24 or even 48 hours....it takes months to fully cure. It will dry in that time...Keep this in mind, paint dries from the outside in and cures from the inside out.

And most if not all clears have a tech sheet that tells all the info, like time to tape, sand , polish...etc ask the bodyshop when to do it, they are the ones that use it every day in your enviroment and would be the ones who know how long to wait.

usually 24 hours is good, i know on a hot day if its sprayed early enough you can cut and polish same day
