when to put them on port hole question

I bought some port holes, there stick on i was wondering when i should put them on? I seen that the nissan on 22s put his on before paint. What im asking is should i put them on before paint and just tape them off or should i put them on after? The only thing is the instructions that came with it say dont applie to new paint.

i think the dib nissan has factory buick ports, in which case the factory bucket would have to be welded in. if you are using sick on ones i would paint it first, let it cure for about a month and put them on. that way if you ever decided to take them off there would be good paint under them

stick ons are factory now.

yeah the factory ones are stick on i looked every where for not stick on and the dealer told me that all the new cars are stick on. but i figured his werent but some one on here awile ago told me that they were stick on i dont no? thanks tho
