Duals

I have a 99 civic and i want to run a dual exhaust.I want too stay away from the weedeater on steriods sound.I want more of a deep tone.Any suggestions on which exhaust set-up too use.

If you want a true dual with a tad lower sound get a flowmaster designed for a camaro, mount it sideways and that way you can have truw duals, 1 muffler and it should sound better than a cannister style.

Way back in the day when i had a Civic i had a "Thermal Exhaust" muffler on it, its pretty low and very "non-weedeater" sounding. Get a muffler shop to build you a exhaust and run 2 of those things you would prob like the sound.

yah, use a flowmaster, my turbocharged integra has a flowmaster on it and it doesnt sound like a weedeater

o kay, here is the setup from my car that sounds deep and not rasspy, from the front back, On a D16y8, I have a factory header but it sounded the same when i had one, then i have the factory Cat. converter, than the factory resinator, than on of those chrome 1 to 2 tips behind the resinator than i have tubing going to each side to the rear with some of those cheap 3r racing mufflers from Autozone on each side on the back! Yea there from Autozone and sounds Deep & good! I think why all these little hondas sound like shit is cause dumbasses take off the resinators and Cats, The muffler guy in my town wanted me to take my resinator, i was like Hell No!

I had my local muffler shop custom build me a dual exhaust using 2 Magnaflow mufflers and a Magnaflow hi-flow cat using 2 1/2" tubing on my Eclipse and it sounds good. Not like a pissed off weedeater.

is it even possible to have "true duals" on a 4 clyinder car?

i have stock headers but a magnaflow exhaust with a test pipe instead of my cat and my is low deep sound but is super loud at higher rpm and super quiet and low at idle even at higher rpm it still has a low tone to it. i would try making dual exhaust out of magnaflow if anything

and when did hondas come with a stock header
