This is my official thread complaining about how difficult it is to take the dash out of a b-series. There, I've complained, now it's time for some Red Diamond Tea.

I agree, but the sweet part is, the more you take it out and put it back in, the less bolts you need, cause there's always some leftover

Are you kidding me?!

Compared to what?!

I've taken out quite a few dash's and my mazda dash was definitly the easiest i've ever taken out...

Takes like, 20 minutes!

haha

You shoulda made a thread about it, i'm sure i'm not the only one who could tell you where every screw and bolt you have to take out is!

Finding the bolts was easy. The thing that pissed me off are the foam covered wire connectors, and the climate controls. Also, does any one have a driver side pillar cover? I may have broke mine, In three places.

hahaha

"may have broke mine-in thre places"

So the hard part wasn't taking the dash out, it was really only unplugging the two or three connectors with foam on em?!

hahah

Jus givin ya shit man, i know the first time it's always a bitch, you end up taking apart way more than you need to

oh yeah and no pillars here...

I can look for you nathan, I dismantled a 4x4 a while back and still have most of the dash and interior parts squirrelled away. Its a dark grey dash but the interior was light grey, is yours the same?

no, mine is the light beige. The dealer has the new piece for $35. The thing I really need is a black passenger side a/c vent. The dealer calls them "ventilators" and says they can't get them.
