I was wondering how you guys are cutting or folding your rockers when laying door. My last one i just cut it in half then folded the rocker underneath. Ive seen some other rockers that are perfectly flat are you just cutting them off then welding a flat piece to it and grinding that down? Just curious on your ideas.

I cut my rocker off and cut the entire floor pan out then took a piece of 4x2x1/4" angle iron and welded it in where the rocker use to be |____ like that so i had a nice 2" surface to weld my floor to and a 4" wide plate where the rocker would be.

Side note i welded it in so i would lay door and the plate at the same time, well that cost me my door skins the first week i had it out from low speed parkin lot dragin. next time i would weld the plate so it would hit first and not lay true door. wavy door skins look like poo IMO

Never thought of angle iron but yeah i had the same idea to cut the rocker off behind the door skin and plate it back to the inner rocker but I didn't wanna were the bottom of my doors out cuz yeah wavy doors look like half the crap rolling around my area anyway.

Rest of the body? What do you mean?

The front fenders i just choped off and made new supports to hold the bottoms of them where the were supposed to be..

got a 4 door suv so i dont have a bed to mess with so im not sure how you would do that section of the truck. The angle iron trick worked the same for me in the rocker beind the rear wheel.
