shortening a long bed to a short bed

just wonderin if anybody has done it i cant find a short bed since i redid my frame so i wanna gonna go to the wrecker and get 2 long bed bedsides and shorten them down just wonderin if anybody knows how hard it might be or if they've seen any kinda tech articles about it

when i shortened my datsun bed i used the same princepals as this one from totaly polished was very straight forward measure ten times cut once http://totallypolished.com/projects/71.htm
