I have ran into a problem with my girfriends Lincon LS. The lower ball joints are needing replaced on this car. She called the dealer and they are tell her that she has to order the whole lower control arm. Has anyone messed with this car or this problem before. I have looked on the net and found no helpfull info. Thanks in advanced for any help

i have replaced multiple lower ball joints on licoln ls and jags....almost the same set up....well stypes....you dont need the whole lower lower control arm you need the whole spindle....the lower is pressed in to the spindle and held in with a large ring clip.....i never try pressing them out cause the spindle will most likely break...just purchase the whole spindle ....
