just curious as to what prepping is necessary to spray over chrome for wheels.. im not doing the entire wheel, just parts of the spokes... any help as to adhesion promoters, primers to use, etc fill me in....thanks

sand then with 180 its what i did.... looked good when they where done

I guess you can try it, but chrome has a tendency to not let paint adhere to it. Chrome is tooo smooth. But I am in no way saying it is impossible to do, just watch for it to peel in the future.

tape off what you want to stay chrome, then have them media blasted where you want to paint. Thats what the hot rod guys do around here.
