If you had a carbon fiber hood could spray a tinted clear over it to match the color of the car, but still give the look of carbon fiber.

most paint companies make a clear basecoat that you can use to reduce your color out 200 or 300% and do light coats to get the look you want. then clear over that. dont tint your clear if you get a small run in it you cant fix it.

Yea house of kolor if you know what youre doing you can tint clear coat with kandy and do it that way. or just do very reduced kandy coats or light coats of kandy. it all depends you much carbon fiber you want showing and what color too.

DUDE IF ITS ONE OF THOSE CHEAP CARBON FIBER HOODS YOUR GUNNA GET A SHIT LOAD OF PIN HOLES WHEN YOU CLEAR IT! IT MIGHT LOOK LIKE FISH EYES OR SOMETHING , SO YOU GOT TO CLEAR IT AGAIN.

I'm with Jason. Mix about 4 parts colorless basecoat with 1 part base color. I've tinted a few sets of tail lights with that mix ratio.
