JL 10w3v3 and amp

Well since my stereo got stolen I want to get better stuff. I had 2 10w1v2s with 360 watts. I want to go with 2 10w3v3s now and was wondering what a good amp would be? I think i want about 600 watt because I dont want to over power my subs. With my old subs they would start to distort with loud bass hits which pissed me off. So what do u recommend? oh and I listen to hardcore/metal/rock if that makes a difference. Thanks

go with the jl 500.1 it will be plenty for them

You could go with a JL 500/1, they do 500 watts from 1-4ohms. Those subs are single coil (2, 4, and 8ohms). You could also go with a Memphis 16-PRD1000.1 which does 600 watts at 2ohms or 1000 watts at 1ohm (which would work very well, just turn the gains down a little). woofersetc has that Memphis amp for $290.

500/1. did you have insurance on your system who do you go thru? My company does insurance jobs for triple A and mercury insurance

I have "full" coverage, but didnt have coverage on the system. So I only get money back from my deck ($125 one for BestBuy). So the 500/1 sounds like my best bet.

What would be a good deck to get? I have absolutely no idea when it comes to decks. I would rather not have a flip down one, but if I have to I guess I could get one.

i have a jensen 600 watt amp if u would be interested in it. if u want it let me know on here or at stanroark@yahoo. i paid 75 for it and aint used it yet. ill even though in the rca wires. depend on shipping then i might will be able to just help or let u have it for less then 100 with everything. just let me know man.
