I searched all over the forums and have not yet found a true. Or reliable answer...I'm thinking about buying 2" drop spindles. But alot of people are saying my 18's wont fit due to the spindles kicking out the camber..The Wheels are currently on my truck, With 2wd sheetmetal and i have no clearance problems...Anyone mind explaining to me what i should look for and all? Thanks

just depends on the offeset of your wheel, umm, the aim spindles will push your wheels out abit, but if u need to u can shim your control arms to get more camber, cause you'll lose camber with the spindles

yes, tyler's got it, the drop spindle pushes the wheel out about 1/2 inch.

Does your truck not lay out? because two inches is a whompload of drop for a bagged truck. If you lay out right now you will need to move your upper bag mount.

Which brings up the question, if you arent laying out why not move the bag mount so you do?

Because the only company that makes drop spindles is aim and I wouldnt buy a girls gone wild dvd from aim if it was wrapped in hamburgers.

i wouldn't even get spindles, just cut your upper control arms and reangle the balljoint so it does lay, only reason i used aim spindles is cause im runnin 20's

so I wonder?, how you guys get to lay all the way with out spindles, I have 18"s and before the spindles I was like a inch before lay frame and my lower arm was all the way up, and now that I bought the spindles, like russ say's I have to redo my upper bag mount.

reangle the upper balljoints 15 degreess downward, trim around when the lower control arm mounts to the frame, flip the balljoints and if that doesnt lay out make a .25-.5" spacer to put between yout lower balljoint and lca

Now I am hungry. That is the funniest analogy I have heard in some time.

My problem is that i've moved 1900 miles from my home, and garage. So i dont have acess to a welder or garage currently. So i cant move my mounts or anything. I have about an inch to lay, and i was thinking the spindles would take care of that...the half inch you are referring to, is that laid out or anytime?

Thanks, hope we can get something for me, cause not laying is driving me crazy

ahhh but there is a bigger problem, if you only have an inch to lay and put on two inch drop spindles, your bags arent going to squish and you will need higher presures to lift, and there will be less total lift.

Flip the lower balljoint like mazberry said (you dont flip it, you just move it from the bottom to the top of the control arm, there is a hump there you have to cut off and you need to trim the lower part to let the bolts go in from the bottom) and that will give you almost an inch. Free. With only basic tools, I did mine with a 12mm socket and a angle grinder with a 5 inch flap disc.

But with all the spindle negatives people have listed you are still considering it, so that tells me you are more looking for someone to say "well ok do it". Well, if you will be happy wasting 250 bucks for something that is going to create more problems than it will solve, ok, do it. I my self have spindles on my truck currently, nothing but problems from the very start. The balljoint plates were drilled crooked, the hardware didnt fit, the spndle castle nut cross threaded, and the upper arm hit the spindle before it lifted all the way. I cant wait to find a set of stock spindles to replace them so I can see if these pieces of shit float. I bet they do. They probably do.
