SO I finally got a little head way this weekend I got my notch in and a new crossmember made and notched for the driveshaft marked out my upper link bar mounts and started cutting them out and drilling them I think saturday I should be done with the 4 link and notch and have eveything ground down and sandblasted so then I need to figure out my juice and I know dick. I'm thinking of doing an over the axle set up so if I decide to bag it all I'll have to do is cut off the old mounts and weld in the new mounts but I really know dick about the hydros so I could use a little help if any one has any pics or advise. I don't have a digital camera so I can't take any pics but I figure I'll borrow one when I get it about done so I can post some.

SO noone wants to help someone out who doesn't really know what he's doing. Classic call yourself minitruckers but wheres the love at? not very many people seem very helpful on here just opiniated so I guess I will stick with what I'm good at and figure it out on my own and once its done I'll make sure to put up some pics so you can critisize my work but yet not give me any advise when I ask.

its not that nobody wants to help, its that only a certain few run hydros instead of air. So you basically have to wait for them to come on and see this post. Maybe you should change the topic to something about needing help with hydros.

I tried that once and had a few people give me some helpful advise on the wiring and plumbing but not the mounting so I was hoping someone would have some pics I could reference.

hydros are pretty easy, (mounting anyways) the shaft side of the hydro cylinder EXAMP. get mounted to the axle, then run a bridge from notch to notch, on the bridge you need a hole just big enough for the whole cylinder to run through, then you got your hydro spring, that just sits under the bridge and on a retainer on the cylinder body.( so the whole weight of the truck is actully siting on the hydro spring) that little spring is your susp. thats why not too many people run them.

So i got the 4 link in the notches welded the cross member done and the rear cylinders mounted and it wasn't that bad I figured it out pretty easy. Plus I got my pinion angle perfect when the frame is about an inch off the ground so I am happy now I just need to cut up my bed and get the pump mounted and batteries and most importantly gas tank or fuel cell (which I don't think the wife is gonna let me get so probaly tank) mounted somewhere. I can't remember my password to photobucket otherwise I'd put some pics up they suck cuz I took them with a phone but there better then nothing.
