I have to assume you mean blend them into the body...You can do this. Just make sure you have access to the backside of the lights so you can replace the bulbs. I've seen a white Honda in a mag recently that had molded in taillights...looked sic as hell! They painted the graphics over part of the light and incorporated the red into the scheme. Good luck!

they will eventually crack outunless you car is fiberglass.

Properly prepped they wont. Sh*t, I would grind down the area around the light, use self tapping screws from the back into the housing of the light, and use a 2 part epoxy to hold the light in as securely as possible. Maybe even drill 1/16" holes around the housing for the epoxy to grip to.
It's been done successfully before, it can be done here.
Although, I would go as far as suggesting you make a filler plate, laser cut the design you want and adhere the lens to the inside of the plate. Weld it in place and it will line up with the bulb housing. Good luck!

fiberglass to metal WILL CRACK. if it doesnt, consider yourself a god or some shit. IT WILL CRACK. if the car is metal, do the metal work to have it done RIGHT.

My brother did his doorhandle areas before on his old Altima, we were bored on a weekend, and they lasted a year no problem. They didn't even crack when the neighbour drove into his door.
