s10 ebrake

I just traded my buddy 2 12" PPI subs and $400 for a 1984 ext S10 with a sbc in it. I was curious if i removed the entire ebrake of the truck if it would effect the rear brakes any. Im gettin ready to bag it and clean it up a little.
