ok.. so i have been workin on this chicks civic lately.. stereo, tv's.. gettin ready for other stuff..

well she hit a brick mailbox the other day doin almost 40.. it was the mailbox or a kid..

im not very knowledgable with uni-body work.. if the top of where the strut goes is bent.. more like a slight twist, is the car fixable?

i can get an entire front clip.. minus engine, suspension and drivetrain for a grand.. its 3 inches past the firewall all the way to the front.. even the cooling system.. doesnt really sound like a bad deal to me..

anyone have any help on gettin this car back up and running?

insurance decided not to help her..

PROGRESSIVE SUCKS!!

dunno bro honestly i have no clue if you can swap out shit like that with the unibody might be time to hook it up on some juice or air and do a tubular front end...

th answer to your question is yes it is fixable. but don't clip the car. it makes it really wealk unless you do it the right way and you do it on a frame rack so the car won't move out of allignment. you can order a strut tow assembly form the dealer and drill out your spot welds and relplace it that way but you need to tram it and make sure its in the right posistion. also if it was hit that hard the front ral may have moved and you mihght need to pull it on a fram rack. I know this cuz I'm a bodyman a t a shop here in vegas. so if you need any more help hit me up. I've seen hondas that look like they had a little fender bender and they ended up tottaling out becasue a rail was bent ot a strut tower was moved too far. anything is fixable its just how much money to do it the right way!

what he said^^ if you know anyone that works at a body shop, ask tham to see a manual. they have manuals that tell you where you can "clip" structural piecs together. i've only ever done in front of the towers.

lol

i should have made that a little clearer..

im not cutting her car.. the replacement parts are coming from a cut car.. its just a way a local junkyard packages stuff together!! i planned on taking it to a body shop for that part of the repair, and the paint.. acctually.. ill just do a few more things and primer it
