does anymody think a toyota 89-95 22re can up with a 1995 accord ex?

i have a 1993 toyota short bed 2wd.it has a k@n air intake and a folwmaster 40 series 2 1/4 exhaust system.it's a fast liitle pickup and a 5-spd.there's a guy who i work with who just puts my down truck down.it's lowrered and i love it.i have owned two hondas i love them but does anybody know if a 22re sightly modded could keep up a f22b v-tech sohc motor.when i had a 1992 accord ex it spanked a 1995 civic with sohc- vtech. i love hondas and toyotas but isn't it the driver not the car.also my truck is a 5-spd and the guy's accord is a automatic.i plan on turboing my truck too. feedback would nice!

i spanked a civic v-tech with a six speed lol and all i had was an intake header and exhaust so maybe

It's vtec, vtech is a phone. Just look up the stats and weight of the car and go from there.

I THINK YOU COULD TAKE HIM.THE HONDA'S I'VE OWNED HAVE ALL BEEN FAST,JUST DON'T LET HIM WIND UP. THERE PRETTY FAST TOP END OR AT LEAST THE ONES I'VE HAD. ONCE V-TECH COMES IN AND THEY KEEP IT IN ,YOU'LL KNOW. BUT ON THE FLIP SIDE I WORK AT A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND I'VE SEEN SOME IMPRESSIVE YOTA'S ESP. WITH THE SUPERCHARGER.

but as of right now im sure you can take him. just go from a dead stop and get off the line. dont do a any roll from 30-50mph. thats 2nd gear and he'll dominate.

Its a minitruck not a damn race car!!

Get a decent cam and intake, better plugs and wires and you'll be able to take him. Minitruck's are so damn light! When I first got my truck, I took my buddy's 01' Vtec and smoked him for days, from a dead stop.

Its not how fast you go, but how good you look when you get there. Anyone can build a sport car, but it takes a real set of balls to cut and weld a truck.
