with an old school bottom feed gun? Spray epoxy primer. Is it a trial and error with every different paint, or is there a general area to be around? I think I used to spray at 15-25 with HVLP but I wouldnt swear to it....

any help is appreciated.

I would say around 90 psi, and perhaps even a little bit more....It depends on the tip size, the paint viscosity, and the actual gun itself....but I am gonna say around 90 for a starting point.

90 psi is the max psi for the "old school" guns, they are HVLP as well, around 30 psi should be good. i would start from there.

Old guns are not HVLP they are low transfer guns....

oooo i guess i read it wrong, 90 psi is still a high psi...

I figured 45-50 would spray well.....im going to get a few test panels after dinner.

oh and im not doubting you that 90 may be what it takes, we always sprayed low pressure as we had HVLP guns at school.
