i found a killer deal on some wheels on eBay and was wondering if they were to big for the rear of my 93 yota? im going to be dropping it 3" in the rear. it says that the recommended tire size is a 315/35/17. am i going to have rubbing issues with this big of a tire and wheel? the backspacing is 6.85" (174mm) and the offset is +28mm (1.10"). would running a 275/40/17 be better? any info soon would be great. auction ends on sunday.

CANT SAY FOR SURE BECAUSE IVE NEVER DONE OR SEEN IT DONE, BUT I CAN ALMOST GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO NARROW THE REAR END AND PROBABLY THE FRAME RAILS ALSO. SOMEONE WILL PROBABLY KNOW FOR SURE HERE SHORTLY.

if it wasn't raining right now i'd go and measure. im going with an old school look for my truck and these would be perfect, and i'd be gettin them for a steal. i know it probably wont tuck, but im not worried about that. i wont be able to bag it till sometime next year. and when i do that i'll buy different wheels.

I SEE, THEY MAY FIT ON THERE IN THAT CASE. I WAS FACTORING IN FOR IT TO TUCK.

no they wont tuck or fit. i have a 92 and my 19x9.5 with 275/30/19's rub the frame rails. my 35mm offset kinda pushes my wheels in further but it just wont work sorry pal. IF they were to work, you'd ned wheel spacers and those wheels would probably stick out an inch ir two. oh and when i say rub the frame rails, i mean i cant even pull out of my driveway without hearing the wheel scrub the frame and make a terrible noise

I'll be running these on my 84 truck. But I'll be using spacers.
