I have a 94 pickup and I noticed the belt making a burning smell...once I took it off, the a/c clutch was locked up but the burning smell still continues with the a/c belt off, the big belt is not smoking though. Do you guys think that the a/c clutch locking up could have created other issues to why the other belt is making the burning smell?

i had the same thing happen on my 96 dodge ram. it started smokin one day and the pulley locked up. so i just disconnected the plug in to the whole ac compressor. well 2 weeks later it froze up so bad that it busted the belt. i had to replace the whole compressor cuz they didnt make a pulley bypass. if ur not to worried about the ac call a auto store or the dealership and see if they make one cuz it wont last to much longer
