how reliable are shaved dor handles for a daily is a chevy truck
if you have one of our door popper kits...very
haha kris ull say anything to sell parts
but seriously avs has some good stuff
ive hadem on my daily for years as long as you have a 911 cable incase you have a dead battery you will be fine
and how do i run the emergency cable... i have never shaved door handles i know how to do the metal work but dont even have an idea on how install the solenoid and popper so please fill me in on that thanks.
Have a hidden button for remote failure and a way to jump the bettery in case truck battery fails.
They are not bad, had some for awhile just sucked when truck battery died. Good luck.
I've got em on one of my trucks. I won't ever do it again. Solenoids failed, backup button failed because the solenoid went out. The 911 cable to the battery didn't help because the door still wouldn't open. I've had a string in the door for 2 years now until I figure out what I want to do with it. Suicide doors would be the better alternative and just change the handle out with something a little sleeker than stock.
That's my $.02
I've had my autolocs on my truck (daily) for over 3 years now and I haven't had any problems yet. I think the problems I have had were because of my alarm remote. But yeah, i would definitely get a emergency button or a choke cable in case something happens

I have had autoloc products on three of my vehicles, no problems two of them were dailydrivers. The only thing I ever ran into was the battery going dead, since then I have installed "glass break savers" it's a cable pull kit that can either go direcly to your latch, or to the solenoid. The steel cable rides inside a plastic sleave that you can run inside a fender or something and if you do have problems you just pull that and it's entry every time. I would personally spend the money to get one of those for a daily driver rather than an emergency button under the bumper or something like that although I do have both, the pull is a much safer bet. Then you can do shaved handles on a daily without the worry. Sorry my post is so long, you just seemed as if you needed the proper info/explaination to tell ya your options. I know a little extra info dosen't hurt everyonce in awhile
