i am wanting to build some pods on my door panels for my tweeters and i was wondering which fabrics are best to use, and which fabrics should i stay away from?, thanks in advance

fiberglass? use fleece to get the shape of the pod (with a frame) then use fiberglass mat to strengthen it. check out fiberglassforums.com

a buddy built mine & just used the fleece from wal mart's arts & crafts section & just poured resin on it after streaching & stapling it to the mdf frames he built. then since i wanted to paint them instead of wrapping them in vinal or tweed, i just put filler in the low spots, sanded them up & primed them. i saw no reason to use the matting after since they're only 6.5", 1" & the crossovers. they're strong enough & they're not pushing enough air as say, a set of 10's or 12's, that i have to worry about it.
good luck...

i have found some material around the house that is made of a nylon/spandex mix, its super strechy and makes nice curves will this work or should i use something else since its a mix, and thanks for the replies

someone else might say i'm wrong (& please correct me if i am) but i would think if it's a pourus (sp?) fabric that the resin can get into, i think you'll be ok, but get other opinions first so i'm not responsible for it cracking...
good luck

^^^^ that will be fine. some people actually use a swimsuite material much like spandex. pretty much any material that will hold the shape and not sag is ok. Speaker box carpet, fleece, spandex, grille cloth and I have even seen felt used.

good luck on your project
