i have completed the cab 2.5 inch bodydrop to the rockers now i am trouble with the radiator support. We cut ii off at the frame and moved it down 2.5 inches and now the brackets for the bars that bolt to my lower control arms is pushing the truck up in the front. The question is do i need these and if so ho much do you lower the front radiator support when welding it back on the frame. lmk ASAP as this is all thats holding me up.

my email has changed to jbarrandey@cox.net

yes you need them. The right way to do it would have been to just drop the "ears" that mount to the outside of the frame, and then notch the crossmember to allow the lower rad hose to clear. You also have to lower the bumper mounts.

But if you have already got it all welded up, shoot some pictures and we'll see what we can come up with.

it is only tacked on do u have any pics of just the ears lowered as i can weld it back in the factory place. here is a pic but its not mine but i have the same thing right now but my mounts are still below the radiator support

I believe that a factory tow hook underneath the crossmember thats holding everything up. You also need a second mount for the lower control arm to keep it from moving since the bar you cut out held it in place before.

check in the Toyota forum, Seth (twistedminis) got rid of the bars in the front and just did an extra mount off the control arm and mounted it to the frame to keep things in place.
