Does anyone know if anyone manufactures a drag bar for full size 99-02 chevy's? Hell it doesn't need to be a bolt-on application or anything.

Just wondering because draggin balls on the frame rails is starting to put a little warm on my fullsize frame. And I even made brackets that bolt on the sides to help stop this...still didn't really work.

Plate the frame and drag it instead of something that might fly off the truck!

agreed, however i do usually put a bar in the back that hangs down a little bit to protect the roll pan and bedsides from getting fubar on speedbumps and shit. its good to protect the investment, especially for those drunk nights...

Ok does anyone have any ACTUAL advice for me. The crap about the ball flying off isn't happening. That's with people that use 3/4" shanks. I use 1 1/4" and drag on the back frame rails...first off all the shank is too damn thick to snap off and second of all it doesn't drag hard enough to happen....trust me I've drug em forever...its people that get the 3/4 shank that screw it up

when i had my truck i used 3" angle underneath the front between both lca's and had a 25ft tail behind pan not including under truck and it was loud as hell....very enjoyable. when the truck layed out it wouldnt touch. only when truck was air out in front and air up in rear it would drag.

i had a kp 6 link on mine and i drug it one night at 105 and it didnt fly off. i wouldnt mount it to the rear i've seen a truck loose traction like that and almost flip. but it did hit the ditch.

although just be careful and take your time with it and dont put something on yourtruck that you would trust draggin in front of yours.

it had its pricetag! i got 3 tubes 60" long. drilling ans tapping was the bitch! i like my bar in the rear. i'd rather drag a bar in the rear than push a bar in the front. i have another 12" chunk i have been thinking of adding in the front somewhere but i worry bout drivability draggin in the front.. guess i dont know which is better? mines a daily driver but i dont know that that many sparks would be good under the whole truck??
