Im having issues wireing my headunit up in my b2000 and i know its something dumb... I got all my speakers working but the only way i can get power is to hook up the battery wire and the memory wire to the same live wire... If I do that i lose all my presets when i shut my truck off. Is there anywhere I can run my memory line to so that i wont lose my presets... The headunit wont power on unless both the memory and battery wire are connected together

you need to find a wire with a constant power source, i.e. a clock or some other component that uses power when the truck is keyed off, that is assuming there is no constant power wire in the factory radio harness.

usually on headunits, the red wire is the ignition and yellow is the constant.

If you must just run your memory wire to the battery. But dont forget to put a fuse on it of course. That should solve all problems
