what do you guys think about using tractor link bars for a four link. strong?

yeah, they would be plenty strong enough, just not very eye pleasing.

They arent fine threaded there course threaded. Unless you can get them changed out with a fine course but still it would look sketchy IMO. Save a little more and just do it right.

go ahead and spend the $$ for a 4 link kit.

You can find some that are 3/4" x16 which is a standard link thread. Some of them are seamed though so youll need to watch that also. Ive used numerous parts from 3 point hitches or top links from tractors on different things. Most times they look like any other beefy 4link if not a little better. They are much stronger than a lot of links on the market, but you may have to change out the hiem joint itself for proper movement. I would definitely check and make sure its not seamed or make sure it doesnt have the little 5/16" hole that most top link bars have for easy adjustment. And as long as you get 3/4"x16 threads you should be fine.
