brake booster help

im bodydroppin a 98 ranger on 20s and the wheels hit the brake booster whats the best way to do this

cut a hole in the floor and go flintstone style lol sorry i just wanted to say that i would also like to know seeing as im trying to bd mine and z it

Check out eci they make a remote booster setup that can be put any where. I am running mine in the center console. The stock master gets mounted to the firewall then I ran braided lines into the unit where the brakes become boosted then back to the abs. Not cheap about the same cost as hydroboost(500) but really looks clean! You also run a vaccuum line just as you would with the stock setup.

I've heard of people using geo metro brakes. not sure if they'd work with big brake upgrades though?

I've seen a couple of guys run 20's and the geo metro brake booster, they say that it works pretty well, and bolting it up isn't a daunting task.

ya since i read this i ordered one to see what it looks like since i work at oreillys, and it is really small, its about as round as a big fire extingsher and about an inch and a half thick. Im putting one on my ranger since i have to go ahead and relocate my wiring harness anyways. And the master cylinder lines are on the engine side on the metro so they will be out of the way of the tire. I think you can do it for under $200 with a brand new master cylinder and a rebuilt booster. Youll just have to change the linkage from the booster to the pedal

i found one that jegs sell it a manual master cylinder that is made for a mustang and it bolt right up to the fire wall where the booster went

you could always extend it forward, out of the way. flip it inside the dash. use a ford fiesta setup. use a hydraboost. or even a parachute...lol

or or or you could run one of those remote boosters.

have fun stoppign w/ that setup, it sux! my buddie had it on his dime w/ 20s and it didnt stop for shit.
