engine clearance

i have a 87 hardbody 2.5 inch body drop with 2.4 carb motor , i dont wanna cut hood up , what is everyone doing to make clearance for the carb and air cleanerthanks

bodydrop your air cleaner or try a aftermarket air cleaner

What james said...i just put a k&n round filter with no cover and shortned the studs of the bolts that mount it. I has a 2.5" and a 2.4L

Are you running the older style hood with the 3 vents across the front or the later hood? The later hood is domed up more in the middle and will buy you a litlle more clearance. you could also drop your motor mounts down a bit for clearance or section your breather. Good luck
