How much do you guys think you would be charged if you paid a shop to get an already-bagged Ranger to lay frame on 20's. I'm talking about doing all the notching up front to make it lay and doing a cantilever bag-on-radius-arm setup for lift. What would you expect to pay to get all this done?

ALOT. Check out my buddies ranger he goes by REDOVAL on here the front end is alot of work and tons of motifying crossmembers and modifying your oil pan and what not to clear the ground so itll lay out. look into a mustang 2 front clip thats a much better option from my understanding

BY READING THESE LAST POSTS AND LOOKING THROUGH OLD HOT ROD MAGS I WOULD THINK $3500 AND UP...I GUESS IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SHOP...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I have a '92 and a '94 Ranger, both have 2.3l 4-bangers. Both of them lay frame on 20's (one is doored). So I know what all goes into it, but someone was asking me how much someone would charge to do all that stuff and I was like "I don't even know, but it wouldn't be cheap." So I was curious. This particular Ranger is a 93'97 and already has bags and 20's, but is not notched at all. It doesn't sit too low right now.

if the truck is bagged already, how come he didnt relocate the gas tank when he bagged it? i did on my 95 Splash to be on the safe side and mine isnt b/d or lay frame but if i didnt relocate it, it still would have been dragging the ground once i bagged it. he should go ahead and relocate the gas tank if he can do it himself. its not hard. just gotta extend gas lines and some wires and thats about it really.

Why do you guys keep talking about the gas tank and the rear? I was only asking about how much you would expect to pay for the work on the front of the truck it takes to get it to lay on 20's. I didn't say anything about the rest of the truck cause it doesn't matter. But the truck is bagged, 4-linked, fuel cell at rear of bed, notched, etc. The front just doesn't lay. Now does anyone have a price range? LOL (but thanks for the replies so far)

I would guess your have to cut everything off the frame and start over in the front. So basically you get to "rework the suspension". I start estimating around the 1800 to 2000 mark, and go from there depending on the level, of work he wants done. If your just doing suspension or doing all the sheetmetal firewall etc...

id say 3 to 5gs dnt really matter if its already bagged, they got to rip apart all the same stuff any ways, and geting it to lay out is where all the work it is, so id expect to still pay full price at a shop and most run between 3500 to 5000, and most charge more for rangers especailly ibeam rangers
