I've almost got the BD on the cab finished on my '86 Mazda B2000 standard cab. Where's the best place to cut inside the bed, along the sides, for a standard 2.5 BD? Please post picks if you have them, Thanks.

I know theres many people on here with BD'd Mazdas on here.....anyone have picks in their profile of their bed being dropped I can see?

along the sides I would take your 2.5" out near the top, because you get the bedside rail to help hide the seams.

yeah cut alog the sides of the bed its the pretty much the easiest and cleanest way to cut it at.

Yeah basically like he said go as close to flush with where the rail curls over or if you can angle it up a little with a die grinder (leave room to get in there to weld) and then measure down how much you wanna cut it get'r'dun then butt the two tegether and weld it up that way it will be mostly hidden under the bed rail.
