gaps

what technique do you guys use to fillin gaps. for instance if you wanted to totally seal a door or tailgate in i figured its to big of a gap to weld and i would think bodyfiller would definately crack

ive heard of guys taking some steel rod and bending it to contour with the gap and then weld it in place and grind it smooth. then just to the bodywork like normal.

for the tail gate though, most of the time you can just get a skin to weld into place. then you could sell the tailgate and recoup some of your money back.
