2003 EXPO DOOR PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 03 EXPO AND SOMETIMES WHEN I`M DRIVING THE "DOOR AJAR" COMES ON. I GET OUT AND SLAM ALL DA DOORS, REAR GLASS,AND REAR DOOR AND IT STILL COMES ON.MY BUDDY THAT WORKS WITH ME HAS HAD HIS O3 SINCE IT WAS NEW AND ONE DAY HE WALKED UP TO ME LAST WEEK AND OUT OF DA BLUE SAID HE WAS HAVING DA SAME PROBLEMS...IF ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT CAUSES THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW TRUCK ONLY HAS 20K MILES ON IT

Not really sure but it might be from your lambo kit when you're driving it is bumping up and down and tripping the sensor. Or it might just be a recall? Check with your dealer.

ITS NOT ON DA BLUE EXPO I JUST BOUGHT THIS ONE FOR A NEW BUILD

take off your door panel, make sure the wire is connected to all 4 door switches, and then oil up the latches inside the door with some lithium grease or something. It is a common problem on the ranger, probably the same on the expo. They get gummed up and dont shut all the way.

With the light on, try opening each door individually and hold the door trigger down...might have one faulty. Their cheap to replace.

Hey, I had two '02 expos that I just got rid of and they both had the same problem.

Ended being a known issue with the rear hatch once the hinges loosen up the door shut sensor doesn't seat right when closed. A buddy of mine that works for Car Toys knew about the problem and put an after market switch on there and it solved the problem.

i work at the ford dealer and this happens all yhe time get you some brake kleen and spray it in your door latches the bear claws they get dirt in them and that is were the contact is for the door ajar switch it will ifix it i promise
