i was wondering if someone could post some pics of what there 4wd metal looks like. like a picture looking down the side of the truck from the corner. I want to see how far the flares stick out because i need to tuck some rims but i love the lines of the 2wd sheet metal and are wondering how much of a difference there is.

thanks

if you arent bodydropped you can tuck an extra 1/2 inch. 2wd can tuck a 5 inch bs 7 inch wide wheel, a 6 inch bs 8, and a 6.5 inch bs 8.5, so subtract a 1/2 inch from the bs if you run 4x4 sheetmetal. If you are bodydropped it doesnt change the bs, because the wheel goes up higher than the flare on the bedside. But you can turn much better with 4wd front fenders and a bodydrop, so its still good.

well i've got a set of escalade 18's on the way and i dont want to pull on the 2wd sheetmetal b/c i dont want the bowed look so im wantin to get the 4wd metal but i dont want some big ass flares so im seeing which i would perfer. Im just going a static drop with this truck without a bd. and if i drop the front almost as far as the torsions will crank will i have to cut my fenderwells. i have no problem doing this i was just wondering.

Body dropped trucks look good with it though.

your 18 escalades will fit with 4x4 sheetmetal.

yes, you will need to trim two holes in the inner fenderwells, and your bumpstops and shocks will bottom out long before the torsions will. You need to cut out all the bumpstops and flip the upper and lower balljoints, and get shorter shocks. Dont forget to reindex the torsion adjusters so they dont drag the ground, they WILL rip out and you will be stuck on the ground.

see that is what i was afraid of was it looking to big and bulky and i dont want that
i planned on flipping the balljoints after i get a little more info on what exactly to do. if you have info on this i would gladly listen and learn. and if i stay 2wd metal how much am i goin to have to pull on the bedsides.
