My buddy is in the process of buying a colorado that has air ride on it, but it does not layout. I've heard that you have to narrow the rear end. So if someone could help us, let me know...

yeah, to get any decent selection on aftermarket wheels, you need to get the rear narrowed, or else the wheels will hit the bedsides. If its just on stock you don't have to do it to lay out. Or you could get billets made with a really high offset, but that is $$$$

u would think that a huge corporation like gm would have a minitrucker on payroll to prevent manufactering vehicles that fuck us up like this lol

I was just looking at buying a new one the other day. Not only are wheels an issue, but the crossmembers hanging down on that thing are ridiculous.

yeah, but the tranny crossmember is cheap and quick fix compared to the rearend. Also the way the front suspension is set up isn't too user friendly.

I know it's a quick fix on the crossmembers. I am saying that from the standpoint that trucks don't come from the factory very easy to customize. Especially the new Chevy's, mid and fullsize.
