What is everyone running for a radiator in their rangers after they did the 302 swap? Is there a stock 4 core that will work? That is the last piece of my ranger puzzle cause i want to drive it this summer.

get a 3 core radiator from a 4.0 ranger. explorers are bigger, you could use one from a v8 explorer IMO.

from the reasearch i've done on rps the one to use is the 4.0 radiator with the "extra cooling package" supposedly this bolts up to the stock radiator mounts. however, if clearance is an issue you can get a swap radiator that tucks inside of the support rather than behind it.

i was looking at explorer radiators on car-part and was wondering if the v8 radiator for a 97 w/ an automatic tranny will fit the same in a 92 ranger.

what exactly are you looking for in the explorer radiators to get them to fit?

are there differences in the physical dimensions of the core supports between the different trucks?

youll have to make it fit in your ranger, the core supports are close, but the explorer radiator is a lil bit bigger.

i have a griffin radiator in mine, but had to cut some of the core support to fit it. its a real tight fit in there. but like james said, a 3 core from a 4.0 should work pretty nice as well. good luck!
