ok need help removing the valve i try and pull it out and this mother wont move ...is there a trick to remove it

Break it if you have to. A grommet goes into the valve cover, then the PCV valve. If you can carefully cut away some of the grommet at the base, then it should come out fairly easily. Or try some penetrant. The foaming kind works best.

it will come out. I thought it was permanently sealed in there or something, but some channelocks and a little back and forth motion and it comes out.

mine wouldnt come out so i ended up cutting the grommet and then it pulled out. just buy a new one theyre cheap.

this may be a stupid question, but what is a pcv valve and why are you removing it?

Its smog equipment. His might be bad. I've always been told if you shape them and they make noise they're useable, but if they don't make noise they're bad. Kinda bassackwards, but supposedly thats it. If not, mine is broken.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. Basically a check valve for your emissions. It allows excess fumes to be filtered through your air intake system.

i took mine out to have my cover powdercoated.
