oh my god, this has got to be one of the worst things I have heard about since that idiot in the omish school. if you don't know what i'm talking about turn on the news it's the only thing on ever news channel right now.

To me this is proof that every "gun free zone" should be protected by armed guards because only the good guys follow the rules.

I work about 5 minutes from the VT campus and I live about 25 minutes away from the campus. Ive been at work today where I am a delivery driver so I drive all around this area and I can tell you that its been insane here. Montgomery county hospital which is the hospital closest to VT had to shut its doors because they could not handle any more patients. The surrounding area hospitals as far away as 50 miles sent ambulances up here. The local elementary schools were locked down too. I was on the road today when the first word came over the radio. It was 17 wounded and 1 dead when i was on the way to my first delivery. By the time i got back in my truck it was up to 20 and has continued to climb. Its been an absolute madhouse here. I cannot begin to count the number of cop cars ambulances news vans etc that I have seen on the roads. I cannot believe this is happening here again. If you dont remember or never heard, about a year ago a prisoner escaped and shot a bunch of people on VT campus. This is a very sad day in my community and I am still waiting to hear from friends of mine that are students. I will try and keep you guys posted on what I am hearing locally that they arent putting on the news. What in the hell is going on? Ive lived here my whole life and this kind of shit just dont happen here. If you believe in it , please pray for everyone involved.

There is nothing really you can say about things like this. I haven't seen the news but read the yahoo headlines about the shootings. I'm not a religious person but this is what the world is coming to. Fucked up people pisted off about the world or whatever is bothering them going out and killing people and then pulling the trigger on themselves. I voted for george bush but he is probably one of the worst leaders we have ever had. But why the fuck are we still over in Iraq worried about what those dumbfucks over there are doing to their own people when here in the Greatest country of all, we have people going out and killing 32 people in a college? We have I don't know how many homeless people. We have jobs going overseas because it's cheaper to build and ship then to build here. I don't know what percentage of crap we own that was made in a different country.

You are right on track there man just a bit too soon in the post, lol. For some reason I have a strange feeling that alot of "anti gun" stuff will come out of this which sucks because "anti gun laws" only help the bad guys like the idiot who did this, THAT'S WHY THIS STUFF HAPPENS AT SCHOOLS! If he would have known there where armed guards or even that some of the students may be carrying concealed pistols would he have done this? Who knows, I tend to think there would have been a little bit less of a chance he would have. How about the colombine idiots, what if they knew that teachers COULD carry guns to school or that there was an armed guard? I think there is less of a chance they would have been as "successfull" as they where.

WOW I just found out that Virginia state law allows concealed carry of a pistol on a university campus with a CWP (Concealed weapon permit) but Virginia Tech does not allow students or staff to carry even with a CWP. Why? I have been told by cops that CWP holders are way less likely to commit a crime than non CWP holders and if someone is going to carry a weapon without a CWP do you really think they are going to pay attention to Virginia Techs "no gun rule"???

It's a sad event who took place today we do feel the pain here in the Province of Quebec in Canada.In Montreal the same happen not to long ago at college dawson

the gun laws have nothing to do with this. as i said on another board, the shit your parents say to you when you are five or so about "whatever you want to do in your life time can be done, so long as you work hard for it" sadly, that holds true for criminal acts, and murderers as well.

he would have found a way to kill all those people. it wasnt a matter of being mad at his girl. he was a foreign student that felt as if he didnt fit in. he had it planned, he didnt just say fuck you bitch i hate you and go on a shooting rampage. he had this shit in his head waiting for the time to come. guns or bubble gum, he was killing himself along with others.

Man hearing all the stories today on every radio station started to suck after a few hours. I seriously could not immagine being in that situation.
