question bout subs in 84 gmc

i have 2 10 inch jbl subwoofers in my 84 single cab gmc, but the only way they fit is if i have the seat all the way up. it seems like alot of people with these trucks have normal subs in them. i was wondering if there was anyway i can get them to fit better without having to put my other shallow mount ones in instead?
